About The Role

Mental Health Lead

For November 2026 Full-time, (37.5 hours per week), term-time only.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, compassionate and proactive Mental Health Lead to join our Pastoral Team and play a key role in promoting positive mental health and wellbeing across the School.

As Mental Health Lead, you will lead and coordinate the School's approach to mental health and wellbeing, ensuring pupils receive appropriate support to enable them to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. Working closely with pupils, families, staff and external agencies, you will provide early intervention, coordinate targeted support and contribute to a culture where wellbeing is valued and prioritised.

The successful candidate will have significant experience supporting children and young people with mental health and wellbeing needs, along with a strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health. Excellent communication, relationship-building and organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with staff, families and external professionals.

Experience within an educational setting and a recognised mental health qualification would be advantageous.

 

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week), term-time only.

This role is 8:30am to 4:30pm, 5 days per week, with an unpaid 30-minute lunch break per day. This includes all CPD days.

The pro-rated salary range for the hours above is £26,715.36 to £29,682.78 per annum. (£34,049 to £37,831 FTE). The agreed salary is dependent on experience
