Teaching Assistant – Infant and Junior School

For November 2026

Part-time, Term-time only

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join a friendly, professional and supportive team within our Early Years and Infant & Junior provision.

As a Teaching Assistant, the role involves supporting pupils' learning and development, clarifying instructions, providing necessary materials, and addressing individual needs. The post-holder will assist across various subjects, promoting positive behaviour, and collaborating with teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

A level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is essential, as is experience with the EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 curriculum (ideally two of these three areas), and the ability to facilitate the transition from early years' play-based learning to the structured education of Key Stage 1, or the transition from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2.

The Clifton High School Teaching Assistant will uphold a professional attitude and consistently strive for the highest educational standards, prioritising pupil safety and wellbeing and ensuring the child's needs come first. With a commitment to supporting the educational, social, and physical development of pupils, they will possess the ability to motivate and inspire, fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment.

This role is full-time, term-time only (29 hours per week). The pro-rated salary is £18,364.47pa (£30,266 FTE)
