Clifton High School is seeking an inspiring and visionary Head of History to lead our dynamic department. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering an inclusive and forward-thinking History curriculum.

 

About the Role

As Head of History, you will:

  • Lead and manage the History Department, ensuring outstanding teaching and learning.
  • Drive curriculum development, assessment strategies and pupil achievement.
  • Take a School-wide responsibility for decolonising the curriculum, ensuring inclusivity and broad perspectives in historical education.
  • Support and develop staff through effective leadership and professional development.
  • Manage departmental resources and budgets efficiently.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and the wider community.
